Mürren is situated on a quiet, tranquil cliff-face atop one of the most picturesque mountains you could imagine. The views from the resort are simply astounding, looking across the deep valley to the rock faces and glaciers of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. This diminutive, enchanting, traditional village is absolutely perfect for families and an array of skiers who are looking for a peaceful and soothing ski break. The village remains unspoilt and boast a long tradition of hospitality and friendliness. This picture perfect resort is open to skiers from December to April and really is something to behold.
Beginners - 


The village of Mürren offers a few gentle nursery slopes for beginners to build their confidence on; the blue run down to the Winteregg is particularly pleasurable. Those who are skiing for the first time may find the nursery slopes at Allmendhubel quite challenging however, other resorts in the Jungfrau ski area provide extra slopes to try.
Intermediates - 



Intermediates will really enjoy what Mürren has to offer; exploring and challenging themselves throughout the resort. Take the cruising run down to Winteregg, or if you fancy more of a test, the 16km run down from Schilthorn, which is home to the infamous Inferno race every January, is perfect.
Advanced - 



There is an abundance of exhilarating pistes, runs and black slopes to keep you busy in and around the village. You will dip and weave through the mountain top and the run from the top of the Schilthorn is not for the faint hearted. There are plenty of off-piste opportunities into the Blumental and from Birg and of course, the spectacular views add to the magic of the experience.
Snowboarding - 


Beginners should head to nearby Wengen whilst they are adjusting to the slopes meanwhile those with more experience will adore the free rides from the terrain above Mürren with its exhilarating off-piste challenges.

Aprs Ski
Mürren’s après ski is very quiet and therefore perfect for those with young families or who want to unwind and relax after a long day’s skiing. Yet if you fancy venturing away from the comfort of your hotel and its own entertainment there are a few great bars to relax in such as the Iglu Bar near the bottom of the Allmendhubel train or in the Eiger guest house. Try the Tächi Bar later on.

The revolving restaurant atop Schilthorn mountain is definitely a must-see – panoramic views and was featured in the 6th James Bond film, ‘On Her Majesty’s Secret Service’- Sport’s centre - Outdoor ice rink - Excursions to Bern and Interlaken - Tobogganing - Ice-climbing - Paragliding - Snow shoeing.
Eating Out
Hotels provide much of the food available in Mürren with the Eiger, Bellevue and Alpenruh being the most popular. Rustic Stägerstübli bar and restaurant is a great alternative to hotels.
