Located high on a sunny plateau, the charming village of Leysin is the ideal choice for beginner and intermediate skiers. Originally, an old agricultural village, it has now developed into a modern ski resort, with easy access to the pistes helped by the free shuttle bus. There is a wealth of sporting and leisure facilities and a varied night life in this, one of the friendliest villages in Switzerland.
Beginners - 



First timers will appreciate Leysin with the convenient village nursery slopes. Progress onto higher, gentle pistes will then be rapid, especially with the help of the Swiss Ski School.
Intermediates - 



Leysin is ideal for intermediates as the majority of pistes are Red and Blue runs. There is a variety of uncrowded, open terrain to help improve your style. Ski over to Solepraz with the well connected lift system or take the bus to Les Mosses. Take full advantage of the full area pass and ski the slopes of Villars.
Advanced - 


Besides the black pistes, Leysin offers plenty of off-piste skiing possibilities, particularly around the foot of the Tour d'Ai. Otherwise, take a bus and train for a 45 minute ride to Les Diablerets for some glacier skiing at 3000m and the 12km red run (included on the full area Alpes Vandoise lift pass)
Snowboarding - 




Leysin is another famous snowboarding resort harbouring an ISF Pro Tour pipe and boardpark. Freeriders also have loads of fantastic terrain to explore around Berneuse and for the backcountry experience, hire a guide to check out the route of the top of Chaux de Mont. The beginners slopes have easy to use rope tows making learning more enjoyable.
