Prato Nevoso Ski Resort

Prato Nevoso is a welcome new addition to the programme and is an ideal place to learn to ski or snowboard. Lying on the north-west facing slopes of the Maritime Alps the resort enjoys a good snow record and plenty of sunshine. Snowboarders are particularly well catered for in the Board Park which has a half pipe and is often illuminated in the evening too. In fact, Prato Nevoso hosted the Junior Snowboard World Championships in 2005. The two areas of Artesina and Prato Nevoso make up the Mondole Ski area with almost 100kms of piste with many gentle runs ideally suited to beginners and intermediates.

Beginners

There is plenty of skiing in Prato Nevoso both above and below the tree line. On the Artesina side the skiing is more challenging whereas the runs in Prato Nevoso are more suited to the beginner or early intermediate. The two main runs back to the village are floodlit, three times a week, and night skiing is included on the lift pass.
