Tignes Ski Resort


Set high in the magnificent Savoie Alps, Tignes offers some of the best skiing in Europe with guaranteed year-round snow. Val Claret, the highest part of the resort offers the best access to the skiing, being at the foot of the glacier. It has a number of shops, restaurants and bistros. Le Lavachet has chairlift links to Tovière and connections onto Val d'Isère and offers a variety of cafés/restaurants. Bustling, lively Lac de Tignes, with runs leading directly back into the resort has a twice weekly market, shops, bars, restaurants and an ultra-modern sports centre.

Beginners

There are a number of easy runs for novice skiers with the bonus of 4 free ski lifts for beginners. Once basic skiing techniques have been mastered, head to the Palafour lift in Le Lac or up the Tichot or Grattalu chairlifts.

Intermediates

A multitude of exciting, challenging terrain is ready and waiting for all levels of intermediate skier. Try cruising down the easy blue run to Tignes les Brevières in time for lunch at the bottom. The high speed 6-seater chair from Val Claret to Col de Fresse speeding access to Val d'lsère and the glacier at le Fornet.

Advanced

Together with the ski lifts of Val d'Isère, Tignes has an unmatched variety of skiing possibilities including some of the most extensive off-piste in the world.

Snowboarding

Tignes really does have it all, this is one of the best playgrounds in Europe no matter what you want. Check out the Lanches chairlift in Val Claret for the boardpark full of kickers and hits to suit all and freeriding doesn't get any better, on or off-piste.
