Bansko Ski Resort


NEW for 2005/06 we are pleased to introduce the resort of Bansko to our Bulgarian programme. Located at the foot of the Pirin Mountain this resort offers alpine quality at Bulgarian prices. Bansko is a traditional town that has gradually developed into a superb ski centre. The mixture of old world charm, modern hotels and breathtaking views make it an excellent choice for your ski holiday.

Beginners

First-time and beginner skiers and snowboarders will find Bankso has plenty on offer. From the excellent tuition from Bulgaria's best english speaking instructors, to the plentiful well-groomed blue runs linked with a good system of drag lifts, learning in Bansko couldn't be any more fun!


Intermediates

There is an excellent choice of blue and red runs, for budding intermediate skiers, all joined by a network of mostly chair and some drag lifts. There are plenty of restaurants on the slopes where you can have a break and relax before hitting the pistes again. Bansko ski school offers technical tuition for intermediate skiers wanting to improve and become experts!


Advanced

As a regular host to extreme off-piste competitions Bansko is known for its powder fields, extreme terrain and off-piste skiing! In addtion to the extreme reputation some of the red runs and the Alberto Tomba black run offers advanced skiers plenty of less extreme challenges in the main ski area.


Snowboarding

Bansko is great for snowboarders! The wide pistes and tree-lined runs, offer multiple opportunities for on and off-piste activities. For the more confident snowboarders there are great extreme off-piste opportunities and of course the board park, consisting of fun park, half pipe and the popular snow towers unique to Bansko. With all these great facilities the snowboard school offers excellent first time and progressive tuition to everyone.

Apres Ski

Bansko offers probably the best Après Ski in Bulgaria. There are numerous bars playing a mixture of live and recorded music late into the night. You will find a good selection of restaurants for dining out, serving local to international cuisine, and all at great value for money prices!
