Neustift & Fulpmes

The pretty Tirolean villages of Neustift and Fulpmes are situated just off the Brenner Pass in the famous Stubai Valley, one of the most scenic locations in Tirol. There are 4 main ski areas within the valley, including the mighty Stubai Glacier at the end, giving you guaranteed snow. You can choose from local area lift passes (Stubai Glacier/Elfer in Neustift or Schlick 2000 in Fulpmes) or choose the "Stubai Superski Pass" which covers the whole valley and also includes free entrance to the villages' indoor pools. Ski buses are free with your lift pass, and there is also an evening "Highway Bus" (local charge) so that you can take advantage of the great choice of nightlife throughout the valley (daily 1900-0200). With a total of 130kms of piste, much of it at high altitude/glacier, this is a great area for all levels of skier and boarder. Both resorts also boast superb ski schools and childcare facilities, making them perfect choices for families too.

Beginners

Both resorts have excellent local ski schools. In Fulpmes lessons start on the easy runs of the Froneben before moving on to the Schlicker Alm. For those staying in Neustift the ski school begins on the gentle nursery runs on the Stubai Glacier.

Intermediates

This truly is an intermediates’ paradise with so many red and blue pistes! Schlick 2000 and the Elfer offer tree-lined runs, spectacular mountain backdrops and rustic Glühwein huts, while up on the Glacier you can enjoy the wide open bowls and great snow.

Advanced

Proficient skiers will find a wide variety of piste, with plenty of challenge. There are locally organised guided off-piste days and courses in off-piste safety, ski touring and telemark (local charge). The most famous 'back country' route is the "Wilden Grub'n" - a 10km route with a total of 1,500m drop - fantastic!

Snowboarding

The Stubai Valley gives you a huge array of places to ride and explore. "Schlick 2000" has a fun park and half pipe, and up on the Glacier you'll find fantastic wide open free-ride terrain and loads of natural kickers.
