Soldeu Ski Resort
Set in the Andorran Pyrenees, Soldeu is probably Andorra’s best known resort, recommended for budding beginners and improving intermediates, the well developed GRANDVALIRA ski area will also tempt competent skiers too. Excellent standard accommodation, a friendly atmosphere, varied skiing, comprehensive lift system, including the new high speed gondola from El Tarter, and glorious sunshine; together with the lively après ski and reasonably priced drinks, make Soldeu and the neighbouring villages of El Tarter and Canillo an ideal choice for a fun-filled, great value ski holiday.
Beginners
Learn to ski in Soldeu and you won’t look back! The impressive English-speaking ski school (recently voted the best in Europe!), and easy nursery slopes on the Pla dels Espiolets at the middle station will ensure that you soon progress to the long, sweeping runs from Solana del Forn.
Intermediates
With predominantly red and blue runs, Soldeu is a great resort for intermediates. Tackle the runs on the face back to the village or race around the Riba Escorxada valley, known as the ‘Bowl’.
Advanced
Take advantage of your GranValira pass and ski from Soldeu to Pas de la Casa. Tke the chance to test you skill off-piste in Grau Roig and then Test your ability skiing through the trees down to El Tarter, or bash down the bumps to Soldeu village on the ‘Llebre’ or ‘Avet’ runs.
Snowboarding
GrandValira is biggest rideable area in Andorra with 193km of well linked terrain. GrandValira has a good snowboard scene with local and international events throughout the season. The area has plenty of runs for freeriders plus a snowboard park and excellent natural terrain for freestylers!
